RSC events

On April 12-15, 2010, the village of Rust in Burgenland hosted the most recent meeting of the RSC partners, organized by the Regional Management of Burgenland. Despite the gloomy weather, the participants managed to spend three busy days holding the Fourth Steering Committee and Working Group meetings back to back with the First Capacity Building and Thematic Seminars.

On January 27-28, the RSC partners met at the REC Conference Center (Szentendre, Hungary) to discuss the status of main ongoing activities of the Assessments, Indicators and Capacity Building Working Groups.

The main objective of the working group meeting was to introduce the Pilot Actions Component's activities of the RSC project, which aims at developing pilot actions to transfer experiences in stimulating climate change mitigation and adaptation and low-carbon economy.

Between September 29 and October 1, the RSC project partners gathered for the Third Steering Committee Meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria. The meeting was hosted by the Bulgarian project partner, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and provided an opportunity for the partnership to get an overview of the project’s progress over the course of the previous six months. The Workgroup Meeting focused on the preparations ahead of the start of the macro-economic analysis (MEA). The members of the working group are Burgenland, Cornwall and Marche, since the MEA will be carried out for these three regions. During the course of the discussion, an overview was given by the regions on the regional planning context related to climate change.
